One case involves the temporary shutdown of a private nutrition centre.
Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has intensified its oversight of healthcare practitioners, taking legal action against multiple facilities and professionals found violating health sector regulations.
The Health Specialties Department, in coordination with other relevant departments, has closed two private dental clinics. One clinic was operating with unlicensed practitioners, whilst the other had professionals working beyond their authorised scope.
The MoPH has also temporarily shut down a private nutrition centre for failing to employ a required nutrition technician and for employing unlicensed practitioners.
Meanwhile, four units within private healthcare centres were also closed for regulatory violations, primarily related to practitioners exceeding their licensed scope of practice.
In a separate case, the ministry suspended the professional licence of a doctor found working beyond their approved scope.
