This is in line with the national strategy of ‘medical-engineering collaborative innovation’.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) have partnered to establish the ‘Medicine-Engineering Collaborative Innovation Research Laboratory’ to promote interdisciplinary innovation.
The partners, in line with the national strategy of ‘medical-engineering collaborative innovation’, aim to drive practical innovation in smart healthcare.
Wing-tak Wong, Deputy President and Provost of PolyU, hoped the laboratory will further leverage university’s strengths and facilitate collaboration with PUTH to advance medical technologies.
Meanwhile, Fu Wei, President of PUTH, said he expected the collaboration to accelerate the alignment between clinical needs and engineering solutions, promote the rapid translation of innovations
