S.L. Raheja Hospital in India has launched new facilities for critical paediatric care and advanced diagnostics.

The launch includes a new digital positron emission tomography–computed tomography (digital PET CT) scan and 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging services.

The digital PET CT features artificial intelligence-enabled software to assist in lesion identification and is applied in cancer, neurology, infection, inflammation, and cardiology for diagnosis, staging, and treatment assessment.

The hospital also introduced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) services to provide critical care for infants and children.

The NICU houses seven beds and is equipped with high-frequency ventilators, continuous positive airway pressure units, LED phototherapy systems, and medical-grade sterilisers.

Meanwhile, the PICU consists of four beds, with one dedicated isolation bed for immunocompromised or infectious cases.

The facilities were inaugurated by Chandru Lachmandas Raheja, Trustee, S. L. Raheja Hospital.
